About
Welcome to Salish Sea Soapworks!
Our Story
Salish Soap started while learning how to do number of things 'from scratch'. After a few batch and much inspiration from Instagram, I was hooked. I've enjoyed learning the cold-process method and learning to infuse different colors, shapes and scents to create a bit of artistic flair to each bar.
Handcrafted - Every Bar is Unique
When working with cold process soap, the recipe has to be exact to ensure safety and efficacy but the design is imprinted by hand each and every time - so results there do vary. Sometimes I swirl to the right, other times to the left :)
Local Flair
Proudly based in Cowichan Bay, some of my soaps reflect the beauty and spirit of our surroundings like Blackberry Night which combines the scene of a sunset with the smell of fresh blackberries.
Commitment to Sustainability
I source high quality butters and oils ingredients - looking for those sustainable practices when available. All ingredients are vegan, cruelty-free. I keep packaging minimal and we are 99% plastic free.
Cowichan Tribes
I acknowledge and thank the Coast Salish People, also known as the Cowichan Tribes – past, present, and future – for their stewardship, care, and leadership on these lands. As a person living and working on this land, I acknowledge that I am a guest.
Thank you for choosing Salish Sea Soapworks, it's been a really fun hobby to develop and I hope you enjoy every bar!
